In this news report by Kate Gibbs on the website Brand Republic, it is announced that Future is to open a US customer publishing unit next month, Future Plus US. Future’s former head of customer publishing in the UK, John Gower, will lead the new company. Operating from the company’s San Francisco offices, Gower will report to Future’s US President, Jonathan Simpson-Bint. Robert Price, Future’s UK chief executive, said Gower played a ‘pivotal role’ in building Future Plus UK and said clients on both sides of the Atlantic would benefit from Future Plus US. Gower will be responsible for building Future’s customer publishing offer in North America, where the company already has a number of publishing partnerships with clients such as Microsoft, Nvidia, AT&T and Sony.
